Balaswagandhadi Tailam Oil or Lakshadi oil is used for strengthening the body muscles. However, its massage is also recommended in growing children and thought to be effective in strengthening bones too. It is used in muscular weakness, bones and joints ailments etc.

Main Ingredients of Balaswagandhadi or Lakshadi Oil
Sida cordifolia, Withania somnifera and Laccifer lacca are three main ingredients in BalaswagandhadiOil. These three ingredients are used in ayurveda for strengthen purposes.
Ayurvedic Pharmacological action of Balaswagandhadi or Lakshadi Oil
Virya: Sam sheetoshnam
Guna: Vata Pitta shaman, Rakta prasadanam
Mostly, this oil is used externally. In external uses, it strengthens the muscles, ligaments, bones and joints. According to ayurveda, massage with is Balaswagandhadi Oil pacifies vata humour and relieves pain. However, it has no direct impact on pain as compared to other pain relieving oil but it improves flexibility and movability of joints and gives strength to them so it becomes beneficial in pain disorders too.
Uses and indications of Balaswagandhadi or Lakshadi Oil as per above Shloka:
Jwara: Fever
Unmaad: Psychosis and mental disorders
Kshaya: Wasting, malnutrition
Kasa: cough
Vata roga: vata disorders
